Chanteuse à la voix cristalline, song-writer surdouée, multi-instrumentiste proche de la nouvelle scène jazz new-yorkaise (Snarky Puppy, Ambrose Akinmusire…), Becca Stevens s’exprime au confluent des genres musicaux : pop, folk, jazz, world music, un peu de rock. C’est une artiste d’exception qui a toujours testé les limites de l’identité musicale tout en gardant une authenticité et complète liberté de création. 2 fois nominée aux Grammy Awards, cette native de la Caroline du Nord vit aujourd’hui à Brooklyn ; elle a déjà séduit le monde entier grâce à son talent de compositrice et sa voix chaleureuse. Soit à travers ses projets solo soit via son travail en collaboration avec des artistes d’horizons divers comme David Crosby, Jacob Collier, Brad Mehldau ou encore Michael League. Son nouvel album, “Maple to Paper”, sort cet été. Ses dernières explorations sont résolument tournées vers la musique folk. Une approche troubadour qu’elle s’apprête à partager en toute intimité et en toute honnêteté.

Charlie Boï, c’est de la folk franco-anglaise, aux tons chauds et feutrés qui s’inspire d’artistes tels que Billie Marten, Cat Power, Laura Marling et Kings of Convenience. C’est une musique qu’on écoute sur la route et sous la couette par temps de pluie, pour apaiser les moments de douce mélancolie. Une musique intimiste qui sur scène a pour ambition d’envelopper son public dans un cocon hors du temps. Début 2024, elle sort ses deux premiers singles “Fuck You Mister” et “Emilia” qui figureront dans un premier EP dont la sortie est prévue en automne 2024.
