Sarajevo. June 1950, shortly after the Tito-Stalin breakup, which creates tensions in Yugoslav society. Me?a, fickle but attached to his family and in love with his wife Sena, is denounced for a joke by a jilted mistress and sent to a labor camp by his own brother-in-law. To protect them, Sena tells their children that Papa is away on business. While his brother spends his time at the movies, Malik, the youngest, takes refuge in sleepwalking, while the whole family lives in uncertainty… If they can’t return, a visit to « his workplace » is soon possible…
