Mélissa Von Vépy, artiste aérienne, et Stéphan Oliva, musicien, proposent une traversée à bord d’un piano-bateau dont il ne reste que les contours, comme une ossature squelettique à la lisière du tangible. Cette embarcation fantomatique pourrait être celle du Hollandais volant, la barque de L’Île des morts de Böcklin, ou celle qui, en Egypte antique, conduisait les âmes vers l’Autre Rive. Les passagers de cette sculpture vivante animée par le souffle de Mélissa Von Vépy et les notes de Stéphan Oliva explorent un espace transitoire et mystérieux, du Vivant à l’Autre Monde Une traversée où les éléments air et eau se confondent, laissant place à l’invisible et au silence, pour n’être plus que son, souffle et mouvement.

Piano Rubato invite à un voyage métaphorique en eaux calmes comme en eaux tumultueuses. Le geste plein de grâce de l’artiste aérienne répond à la virtuosité du compositeur de jazz. La magie opère. La traversée est belle. Tout comme dans un rêve, le temps ralentit puis se suspend.

Aerial artist Mélissa Von Vépy and musician Stéphan Oliva propose a crossing aboard a piano boat, of which only the outlines remain, like a skeletal skeleton on the edge of the tangible. This ghostly craft could be that of the Flying Dutchman, the boat from Böcklin?s Isle of the Dead, or the one that, in ancient Egypt, led souls to the Other Shore. The passengers of this living sculpture animated by Mélissa Von Vépy?s breath and Stéphan Oliva?s notes explore a mysterious, transitory space, from the Living to the Other World. A crossing where the elements air and water merge, giving way to the invisible and silence, to become nothing more than sound, breath and movement.

Piano Rubato invites us on a metaphorical journey through calm and tumultuous waters. The graceful gesture of the aerial artist meets the virtuosity of the jazz composer. The magic happens. The crossing is beautiful. Just as in a dream, time slows down and then stands still
