Cette installation est conçue comme un écho à un extrait de la pièce Manger un Phoque. Elle tend à tisser un dialogue poétique entre la scène et la salle d’exposition en proposant une interprétation visuelle et sensorielle d’une des thématiques de l’œuvre théâtrale de Sophie Merceron le sommeil.

À travers cette proposition, Mélia Bannerman s’inspire d’éléments organiques pour créer une atmosphère où la matière devient une métaphore de l’intime, du passage du temps, et de la résilience. Elle évoque un sommeil dont les dimensions symboliques résonnent les unes avec les autres. Un sommeil qui apparaît à la fois comme un espace de repos, d’apaisement.

Vulnérabilité partagée entre l’humain et le végétal, une pause indispensable pour retrouver la force de s’épanouir, de croître et de se renouveler.
Le Grand Sommeil est une exploration de la nature, de la fragilité de la vie et de la lente métamorphose qui s’opère dans l’immobilité apparente.
Le Grand Sommeil n’est pas la fin, mais le prélude d’un nouveau commencement, la promesse d’un avenir possible.

This installation was conceived as an echo to an extract from the play Manger un Phoque. It weaves a poetic dialogue between the stage and the exhibition room, offering a visual and sensory interpretation of one of the themes in Sophie Merceron?s theatrical work: sleep.

In this proposal, Mélia Bannerman draws on organic elements to create an atmosphere in which matter becomes a metaphor for intimacy, the passage of time and resilience. She evokes a sleep whose symbolic dimensions resonate with one another. A sleep that appears at once as a space of rest and appeasement.

A shared vulnerability between humans and plants, a vital pause to regain the strength to blossom, grow and renew.
Le Grand Sommeil is an exploration of nature, the fragility of life and the slow metamorphosis that takes place in apparent immobility.
Le Grand Sommeil is not the end, but the prelude to a new beginning, the promise of a possible future.

Diese Installation ist als Echo auf einen Auszug aus dem Theaterstück Manger un Phoque konzipiert. Sie soll einen poetischen Dialog zwischen der Bühne und dem Ausstellungsraum herstellen, indem sie eine visuelle und sensorische Interpretation eines der Themen des Theaterstücks von Sophie Merceron vorschlägt: den Schlaf.

In ihrem Vorschlag lässt sich Mélia Bannerman von organischen Elementen inspirieren, um eine Atmosphäre zu schaffen, in der die Materie zu einer Metapher für das Intime, den Lauf der Zeit und die Widerstandsfähigkeit wird. Sie beschwört einen Schlaf herauf, dessen symbolische Dimensionen miteinander in Resonanz stehen. Ein Schlaf, der gleichzeitig als ein Raum der Ruhe und der Beruhigung erscheint.

Der Schlaf ist eine zwischen Mensch und Pflanze geteilte Verwundbarkeit, eine unerlässliche Pause, um die Kraft zur Entfaltung, zum Wachstum und zur Erneuerung wiederzufinden.
Le Grand Sommeil ist eine Erkundung der Natur, der Zerbrechlichkeit des Lebens und der langsamen Metamorphose, die sich in der scheinbaren Bewegungslosigkeit vollzieht.
Der Große Schlaf ist nicht das Ende, sondern der Auftakt zu einem Neuanfang, das Versprechen einer möglichen Zukunft.

Questa installazione è stata concepita come eco di un estratto della pièce teatrale Manger un Phoque. Intreccia un dialogo poetico tra il palcoscenico e la sala espositiva, offrendo un’interpretazione visiva e sensoriale di uno dei temi del lavoro teatrale di Sophie Merceron: il sonno.

In questo lavoro, Mélia Bannerman attinge a elementi organici per creare un’atmosfera in cui la materia diventa metafora dell’intimità, del passare del tempo e della resilienza. L’artista evoca un sonno le cui dimensioni simboliche risuonano tra loro. Un sonno che appare allo stesso tempo come uno spazio di riposo e di acquietamento.

Esta instalación está concebida como un eco de un fragmento de la obra teatral Manger un Phoque. Teje un diálogo poético entre el escenario y la sala de exposiciones, ofreciendo una interpretación visual y sensorial de uno de los temas de la obra teatral de Sophie Merceron: el sueño.

En esta obra, Mélia Bannerman recurre a elementos orgánicos para crear una atmósfera en la que la materia se convierte en metáfora de la intimidad, el paso del tiempo y la resistencia. Evoca un sueño cuyas dimensiones simbólicas resuenan entre sí. Un sueño que aparece a la vez como un espacio de descanso y de apaciguamiento.

Deze installatie is ontworpen als een echo van een fragment uit het toneelstuk Manger un Phoque. Het weeft een poëtische dialoog tussen het podium en de tentoonstellingsruimte en biedt een visuele en zintuiglijke interpretatie van een van de thema’s in het theatrale werk van Sophie Merceron: slaap.

In dit werk gebruikt Mélia Bannerman organische elementen om een sfeer te creëren waarin het materiaal een metafoor wordt voor intimiteit, het verstrijken van de tijd en veerkracht. Ze roept een slaap op waarvan de symbolische dimensies met elkaar resoneren. Een slaap die tegelijk een ruimte van rust en verzachting lijkt.

Een kwetsbaarheid die mensen en planten delen, een vitale pauze om de kracht te herwinnen om te bloeien, te groeien en te vernieuwen.
Le Grand Sommeil is een verkenning van de natuur, de kwetsbaarheid van het leven en de langzame metamorfose die plaatsvindt in schijnbare onbeweeglijkheid.
