English : Fête de la Saint-Jean

On June 24, Sainte-Maxime lights up to celebrate the light and summer with the traditional Saint-Jean Festival.

At nightfall, the children open the ball with the procession of the lanterns. A luminous procession that crosses the city, carried by the energy of the little maximois (on inscription), towards the area of Magnoti. There, the folk groups Lei Magnoti and Fifres and drums set the pace with traditional dances and music.

Then, the show on the beach of downtown with the blazing of the big fire of Saint-Jean, highlight of the evening. Around the flames, dances continue before giving way to a fireworks display and an outdoor concert.

A festive and warm event that brings together residents and visitors every year.

Am 24. Juni erstrahlt Sainte-Maxime zur Feier des Lichts und des Sommers mit der traditionellen Fête de la Saint-Jean.

Il 24 giugno, Sainte-Maxime si illumina per celebrare la luce e l’estate con la tradizionale Festa di San Giovanni.

Al calar della notte, i bambini aprono il ballo con la processione dei lampioni. Un corteo luminoso che attraversa la città, portato dall’energia dei piccoli maximois (su iscrizione), verso l’area dei Magnoti. Qui i gruppi folkloristici Lei Magnoti e Fifres et tambours danno il ritmo con danze e musiche tradizionali.

Poi, il luogo dello spettacolo sulla spiaggia del centro della città con l’accensione del grande fuoco di Saint-Jean, momento clou della serata. Intorno alle fiamme, le danze continuano prima di lasciare il posto a un fuoco d’artificio e ad un concerto all’aperto.

Un appuntamento festivo e caloroso che ogni anno riunisce abitanti e visitatori.
