Un conte initiatique sur l’acceptation et le respect de l’autre.
Nous sommes au 19ème siècle, dans une Angleterre en pleine révolution industrielle.
Au cours d’une promenade sur le port, un savant érudit et curieux, Archibald Léopold
Ruthmore, achète une dent de géant entièrement gravée.
En examinant les gravures, il déchiffre ce qui ressemble à une carte de géographie, la carte
du pays des géants . Il part aussitôt à la recherche de ce peuple mystérieux et lointain.
Ainsi commencent bien des découvertes…
Tout en respectant l’univers de François Place, les artistes mettent en scène cette histoire à
l’aide de machines de théâtre et leur univers visuel marionnettes, ombres, écrans géants de
papier, boites optiques afin de partager ce conte avec le plus grand nombre.
Ils mettent ainsi en perspective certaines problématiques contemporaines l’aveuglement et
la vanité des hommes, la destruction par l’homme du bien commun, les effets inattendus et
désastreux de la science et du savoir…

Archibald Leopold Ruthmore?s travel journal and cabinet of curiosities.
An initiatory tale of acceptance and respect for others.
We are in 19th-century England, in the midst of the Industrial Revolution.
During a stroll along the harbor, Archibald Leopold Ruthmore, an erudite and curious scholar
Ruthmore, buys a fully engraved giant?s tooth.
Examining the carvings, he deciphers what looks like a geography map, a map of the « land of giants »
of the « land of giants ». He immediately set off in search of this mysterious and distant people.
And so begin many discoveries…
While respecting François Place?s universe, the artists stage this story using theatrical
theatrical machines and their own visual universe: puppets, shadows, giant paper screens

In so doing, they put certain contemporary issues into perspective: the blindness and vanity of mankind

Reisetagebuch und Kuriositätenkabinett von Archibald Leopold Ruthmore.
Ein Initiationsmärchen über die Akzeptanz und den Respekt des Anderen.
Wir befinden uns im 19. Jahrhundert, in einem England, das sich mitten in der industriellen Revolution befindet.
Bei einem Spaziergang am Hafen bekommt der neugierige und gelehrte Gelehrte Archibald Leopold
Ruthmore, einen vollständig gravierten Zahn eines Riesen.
Als er die Gravuren untersuchte, entzifferte er etwas, das wie eine Landkarte aussah die Karte von
des « Landes der Riesen ». Sofort macht er sich auf die Suche nach diesem geheimnisvollen und weit entfernten Volk.
So beginnen viele Entdeckungen…
Die Künstler halten sich an die Welt von François Place und inszenieren diese Geschichte mit Hilfe von
mit Hilfe von Theatermaschinen und ihrer visuellen Welt: Marionetten, Schatten, riesigen Leinwänden aus
papierschirme, optische Boxen, um diese Geschichte mit möglichst vielen Menschen zu teilen.
Auf diese Weise stellen sie einige zeitgenössische Probleme in den Vordergrund: die Blindheit und die
eitelkeit der Menschen, die Zerstörung des Gemeinwohls durch den Menschen, die unerwarteten und negativen Auswirkungen
katastrophalen Auswirkungen von Wissenschaft und Wissen…

Siamo nell’Inghilterra del XIX secolo, all’apice della rivoluzione industriale.
Durante una passeggiata lungo il porto, Archibald Leopold Ruthmore, studioso erudito e curioso, acquista un dente gigante
Ruthmore compra un dente di gigante interamente inciso.
Esaminando le incisioni, decifra quella che sembra una mappa geografica, una mappa della « terra dei giganti »
della « terra dei giganti ». Si mette subito alla ricerca di questo popolo misterioso e lontano.
E così iniziano molte scoperte…
Pur rispettando l’universo di François Place, gli artisti mettono in scena questa storia con l’ausilio di macchine teatrali e dei loro strumenti
con l’aiuto di macchine teatrali e del proprio universo visivo: marionette, ombre, schermi di carta giganti e scatole ottiche per condividere questa storia

Estamos en la Inglaterra del siglo XIX, en plena Revolución Industrial.
Durante un paseo por el puerto, Archibald Leopold Ruthmore, erudito y curioso, compra un diente gigante
Ruthmore, compra un diente de gigante completamente grabado.
Al examinar las tallas, descifra lo que parece un mapa geográfico, un mapa del « país de los gigantes »
de la « tierra de gigantes ». Inmediatamente parte en busca de este misterioso y lejano pueblo.
Y así comienzan muchos descubrimientos…
Respetando el universo de François Place, los artistas escenifican esta historia utilizando teatrales
con la ayuda de máquinas de teatro y su propio universo visual: marionetas, sombras, pantallas gigantes de papel
pantallas de papel y cajas ópticas para compartir este cuento con el mayor número de personas posible.
Al hacerlo, ponen en perspectiva una serie de cuestiones contemporáneas: la ceguera y la vanidad del hombre, la destrucción del medio ambiente y la destrucción de nuestro planeta

Een inwijdingsverhaal over acceptatie en respect voor anderen.
We bevinden ons in het Engeland van de 19e eeuw, op het hoogtepunt van de industriële revolutie.
Tijdens een wandeling langs de haven koopt Archibald Leopold Ruthmore, een erudiete en nieuwsgierige geleerde, een reuzentand
Ruthmore koopt een volledig gegraveerde reuzentand.
Bij het bestuderen van de gravures ontcijfert hij wat lijkt op een geografische kaart, een kaart van het « land der reuzen »
van het « land der reuzen ». Hij gaat onmiddellijk op zoek naar dit mysterieuze en verre volk.
En zo beginnen vele ontdekkingen…
Met respect voor het universum van François Place, ensceneren de artiesten dit verhaal op theatrale wijze
met behulp van theatermachines en hun eigen visuele universum: poppen, schaduwen, reusachtige papieren schermen
