Aleksandra Walczak is a research director at the CNRS, at the ENS Physics Laboratory (LPENS – CNRS/ENS-PSL/Sorbonne University). She works in the field of theoretical biophysics and is interested in a variety of areas, ranging from the collective behavior of large groups of animals to the development and statistical descriptions of the immune system. She develops theoretical approaches to help understand the design and functioning of living systems. Her work earned her the 2024 CNRS Silver Medal.
