Créé en 2020, le New Art Orchestra (NAO) est un orchestre symphonique semi-professionnel nancéien, fonctionnant par sessions, dirigé par Hugo Lutz . Cet orchestre est le résultat d’un projet de huit amis musiciens, désireux de poursuivre une pratique instrumentale tout en enrichissant la scène musicale lorraine. Suite au premier projet Histoire(s) au féminin , réalisé en 2022, le NAO poursuit son épopée musicale en produisant un spectacle par an, alliant œuvres symphoniques célèbres et compositions originales, choisies et composées autour de thématiques comportant une dimension pédagogique.

En 2026, le NAO aborde le thème du nouveau monde, mêlant musique actuelle, avec un conte musical et une œuvre funk-symphonique, et musique classique, avec la symphonie n°9 dite du Nouveau Monde d’Antonin Dvorak une véritable croisée des mondes, avec une présentation des œuvres et des thèmes musicaux par un comédien.

Founded in 2020, the New Art Orchestra (NAO) is a semi-professional symphony orchestra from Nancy, operating on a session basis and directed by Hugo Lutz . This orchestra is the result of a project by eight musician friends, keen to pursue their instrumental practice while enriching the musical scene in Lorraine. Following its first project, Histoire(s) au féminin , in 2022, the NAO continues its musical epic by producing one show a year, combining famous symphonic works and original compositions, chosen and composed around themes with an educational dimension.

In 2026, the NAO tackles the theme of the New World, combining contemporary music, with a musical tale and a funk-symphonic work, and classical music, with Antonin Dvorak?s New World Symphony No. 9: a true crossroads of worlds, with a presentation of the works and musical themes by an actor.
