La grande autrice russe, traduite dans plus de quarante langues, Gouzel Iakhina, retrace la vie du réalisateur de l’époque soviétique, Eisenstein, questionnant son rapport au pouvoir. De son côté, David Djaïz revient sur le canicide de Constantinople, en 1910, auquel participe un médecin français. Par ces récits, tous deux questionnent la place et les choix des artistes et scientifiques, entre le bien et le mal, face à leur ambition et le pouvoir.

The renowned Russian author Gouzel Iakhina, whose works have been translated into more than forty languages, chronicles the life of the Soviet-era filmmaker Eisenstein, examining his relationship with power. For his part, David Dja%EFz revisits the 1910 dog massacre in Constantinople, in which a French doctor took part. Through these stories, both authors explore the role and choices of artists and scientists—navigating the line between good and evil—as they grapple with their ambition and power.
